A Message from Our Principal

Deer Creek 4th & 5th Grade Center Families,

DC45 is a place of growth, inspiration and exploration, and we are committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment where your children can thrive academically and personally. Our dedicated team of educators, staff, and administrators is passionate about fostering the love of learning, preparing our students for a successful future and helping them develop as good people.

Public education has been my passion for over 26 years and I still get excited each and every year to see kids and families filling the building.

I believe in the power of collaboration between home and school, and your active involvement in your child's education is essential. Together, we can create a positive and enriching educational experience for every student.

Thank you for entrusting us with your child's education. We look forward to a year filled with growth, achievements, and memorable experiences. If you ever have any questions or need assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.

Here's to a fantastic school year!

Our Story

The Deer Creek Fourth and Fifth Grade Center opened in 2020. Although our first year was anything but traditional, our talented staff hit the ground running and has not stopped creating the best positive learning environment for our students since. We are fortunate to serve all of Deer Creek's fourth and fifth graders in one building. We are organized by teams, with a a different National Park designation for each one. We are proud of the learning achieved in our classrooms, and the spirit of growth, compassion and character building we aim to foster in our students.

In 2023, DC45 was named a PLC Model at Work School, a prestigious honor awarded to only seven schools in Oklahoma. This recognition represents a school-wide commitment to creating a safe and collaborative culture, effective teaching in every classroom and guaranteed and viable curriculum. The Model at Work School recognition can only be achieved after showing data to support the PLC Model for three years. In 2021, DC45 received the Level 1 recognition, commending our safe and collaborative culture. In 2022, we received the Level 2 recognition, acknowledging our commitment to effective teaching in every classroom. In 2022, we received the Level 3 recognition of guaranteed and viable curriculum across our school.  Learn More
